Actuals/Trending
Actual sales numbers are presented in the plan window as a convenience. The sales are presented in the same format as the plan and forecast for quick comparison. Actuals help drive forecasts and ultimately set the tone for the item's season.
The example above shows the entire month of May for the example item. The item beat the plan and forecast in all areas except for average sale price and margin. Using these numbers, the forecaster may need to adjust June's numbers. If necessary, planners/forecasters may speak with sales/markering to make proper adjustments.
