Entering a Will Call Order
Many times it may be convenient for a customer to physically pick-up an order at your location, eliminating shipping expenses. This situation is referred to as a will call or sometimes local pickup.
You denote an entire order as will call using the Will Call/Local Pickup Freight carrier option on the header tab in the Order Entry window. When the pick ticket is printed, the Will Call option alerts the individuals in the warehouse not to ship the items by printing the words “WILL CALL” on the pick ticket.
You should be aware that a Will Call is not the same as a cash sale. Cash Sales are handled separately in the Order Processing module.
