Product Categories - Digital Asset Control

Definition

Product categories define a drill-down or hierarchical structure of parent/child relationships between categories that contain items. Product categories are used to track items by relation for everything from sales to purchasing. In addition, these assets are used extensively in e-commerce applications to guide customers to the products they seek.

When used in conjunction with item level attributes, product categories help create powerful search capabilities for use both within Venture Desktop and online for your customers.
