Introduction to Product Categories
The Product Category window contains a top and bottom half with a screen splitter dividing the two sections. The bottom half contains a results tree listing all items associated directly with the selected category:

Item Results
The item results tree is in the bottom half of the product category management window. It contains a list of all items that belong to the selected category. As you drill down through the category tree, you will eventually come to a point where either there exists items associated with the category or you wish to add items to a category.
In most cases, you add categories to a leaf node category. A leaf node is simply a category with no categories below it. It is a childless category -- the end of the tree.
Below you'll see an example of a results tree with items. The items in this category belong to the leaf node "Solar Feeders". In the tree you see information for the item code, sort order and description:
To add a new item to this lead node, click the button labeled "Item Search" which reveals a search box:
Use the search to locate the item you want to add to the category, click the item in the results tree once to select it and then click the "Add" button to include it in the selected leaf node:
To remove an item from a category, right/CTRL-click the item in the results tree and select the Remove Item menu option:
