About CRM

Contact Relationship Management or CRM concerns maintaining informational records and reports of activity for people that you do business with. Venture maintains contacts for customers and vendors.

Sales people familiar with other CRM software know that tracking sales leads is important too. Venture stores leads in the customer maintenance module. Venture treats leads as customers. After all, you want a lead to someday become a customer. To do maintain the customer record as such you can set the active flag to false.

The same applies to vendor records. Inactive vendors may be used to keep tabs on potential vendors and their product offerings without creating items.

Activity reports, or call reports, record activity detail for the customer of vendor contact. Using a rigorous call report program bolsters knowledge retention throughout your company. Call reports create a functioning history of events with a customer or vendor. And that can come in quite handy.

Call reports are available for review from the Reporting and Analysis window in Venture Core. You can see report activity and follow-up schedules for customers and vendors of your choosing or base your reporting on employees or territories.
